Loudness estimates summarize sustained energy while sample peak is the largest decoded sample. A file can have a suitable estimated loudness yet have unsafe sample peaks, or the reverse, so both readings matter.
Clipping occurs when decoded samples reach the selected threshold. The tool groups adjacent or very close samples into evidence events, but it does not repair, normalize or alter source audio.
The inspector uses bounded RMS windows with editable threshold and minimum duration settings. It reports leading silence, trailing silence and internal gaps; intentional quiet passages still need a listener’s judgement.
Stereo delivery can sound unintentionally lopsided when left and right RMS differ substantially or one channel is silent. This tool reports evidence-based RMS balance, not a phase-correlation score.
Podcast speech and online video profiles provide editable production targets, peak limits and silence checks. They are starting points for a human workflow, not acceptance criteria for any platform.

Sample peak is measured from decoded audio samples and may not detect inter-sample peaks. True peak needs a validated reconstruction method, so this browser tool does not present one.
Crest factor is sample peak dBFS minus RMS dBFS. It is a simple dynamics indicator and is never presented as Loudness Range.
Clicks, noise, intent, edits, stereo imaging and context cannot be accepted automatically. Complete the in-tool listening checklist using headphones and ordinary speakers before deciding on delivery.

Sample peak is the largest decoded PCM sample. True peak estimates possible inter-sample peaks after reconstruction. This tool reports sample peak and explicitly does not claim true-peak measurement.
It finds decoded samples at or above the editable clipping threshold, groups adjacent or very close samples into events, and records each event's time, channel, count and maximum value.

For stereo audio, it compares full-file left and right RMS, reports the difference and dominant channel, and flags silent or near-silent channels. It does not claim phase-correlation analysis.
Yes. It calculates the mean decoded sample value for each channel and flags values above the editable review threshold. DC offset is a measurable waveform bias and is not automatically audible.
The intake supports WAV, MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG and FLAC where the active browser can decode the codec. Extension and MIME declarations are checked, but successful local decoding is the final validation.
